Episode 63: About Our Guest

Hi! My name is Morgan Velasquez! I am a Jacksonville native, married to my college sweetheart, and mom to a 9 month old baby boy, two black cats, and a puppy. I’m a creative at heart (my current hyperfixation is sewing), I love the beach, am always down for a good coffee, and love to thrift. I am the founder of Jax Moms of Babies and cofounder of Mom Made Jax. I also do freelance graphic design and have a background in nonprofit work, child development, and criminal justice. I’m passionate about connection and hope to aid in creating spaces that encourage community integration and true belonging.
Episode 63: Jax Moms of Babies

Jax Moms of Babies is a community focused on connecting families in Jacksonville during the pregnant, postpartum, and early toddlerhood stages. We focus on partnering with local creatives, small businesses, third spaces, and organizations to offer intentional and welcoming ticketed and free events with the goal of improving postpartum mental health outcomes and offering the opportunity to forge friendships and ultimately build a village.
Episode 63: Mom Made Jax

Mom Made Jax is Jacksonville’s one-and-only 100% mom-owned monthly farmer’s market. Hosted at Myrtle Avenue Brewing, our market is held on the last Friday of every month from 5pm-8pm, in a vibrant and family and pet-friendly environment. Mom Made was designed to provide a space where motherhood and entrepreneurship can be truly interwoven and synergistic. If that means babywearing your infant or coming up with a pack-n-play area behind your booth, this is the space for our vendors to do so. We will always seek to support the whole of who our vendors are— “mom” and business owner.
